What information we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, billing and delivery details, ordered products and payment information, such as payment status and transaction references. A telephone number may be required for delivery.

Purchases are made without creating a customer account.

When you contact us, we receive your contact details and the information you include in your message.

Our website and security services also process technical information, including IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, access times and security events.

Why we process your information

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • Processing orders, payments, delivery and returns: to perform our contract with you.
  • Answering questions and preparing custom quotations: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or based on our legitimate interest in providing customer support.
  • Keeping accounting records: to comply with legal obligations.
  • Protecting the website, preventing fraud and investigating technical problems: based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and reliable store.
  • Handling legal claims: to comply with legal obligations or protect our legitimate interests.

Information necessary to process and deliver an order must be provided for us to fulfil it.

Payments

Online card payments are processed through WooPayments, which operates in partnership with Stripe.

Relevant billing, transaction and technical information is processed by the payment providers to complete payments, authenticate transactions and prevent fraud.

We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes in our WordPress database.

For more information, see:

Service providers and disclosure

Relevant information is shared with service providers where necessary:

  • Veebimajutus.ee / Elkdata OÜ: website hosting and email services.
  • WooPayments and Stripe: payment processing and related fraud prevention.
  • Omniva and its delivery partners: transporting and delivering orders.
  • Patchstack: website security monitoring and protection. Security-event information may include IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and relevant details of suspicious requests.
  • Accounting or professional advisers: where needed for accounting, legal obligations or claims.
  • Public authorities: where disclosure is legally required.

We also use Kadence Security to protect administrator access and record security events.

Customer information is accessible only to people and service providers who need it for their work. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some payment and security service providers process information outside the European Economic Area.

Where applicable, transfers rely on safeguards such as an adequacy decision, participation in an applicable Data Privacy Framework, or European Commission standard contractual clauses.

You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data. Payment providers also explain their international processing in their privacy notices.

Retention

Accounting source documents are retained for seven years from the end of the financial year in which the transaction was recorded.

Other order records and related correspondence are retained for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and complaints, and establish or defend legal claims.

General enquiries are retained until the enquiry and any related follow-up are resolved, unless a further legal or business need requires retention.

Kadence Security event logs are stored in our website database for 60 days. IP addresses added to the security blocklist after repeated failed login attempts may remain blocked beyond this period.

Hosting and external security services maintain separate logs under their own retention arrangements. The 60-day period does not apply to those logs.

Cookies and links

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies to remember shopping-basket contents and support checkout, sessions and security.

Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent. Optional tracking technologies that require consent must not be activated without that consent.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the basket or checkout from working correctly.

If you follow a link to another website, that website’s privacy policy applies. A normal external link does not itself embed the external website’s content in our store.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of your data.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because of legal retention requirements or unresolved claims.

Send requests to info@motoprod.com. We may ask for information necessary to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; if an extension is legally permitted and necessary, we will explain the reason.

You may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Updates

We update this policy when our services or data-processing practices change.
